Service Agreement
Booking and Scheduling
To secure a booking with House Clearance Grays, customers must provide a confirmed date and time. Appointments are subject to availability and will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Booking Confirmation: A confirmation email or message will be sent upon successful booking.
- Lead Time: We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice for all bookings.
- Availability: Services are available Monday through Saturday, excluding public holidays.
Payment Terms
Payments for house clearance services must adhere to the following terms:
- Payment Methods: We accept cash, credit/debit cards, and bank transfers.
- Deposit: A deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment.
- Final Payment: The remaining balance is due upon completion of the service.
- Late Payments: Payments not received within 14 days may incur a late fee.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellation Policy
Customers may cancel their booking under the following conditions:
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment are eligible for a full deposit refund.
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment will incur a 50% cancellation fee.
- No-shows will be charged the full amount of the booked service.
Rescheduling Policy
Customers wishing to reschedule their appointment must notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Rescheduling requests made within 24 hours of the original appointment time may be subject to availability and may incur a small administrative fee.
Service Scope and Limitations
Scope of Services

- Disposal of bulky waste
- Recycling and donation of eligible items
- Cleansing and tidying of cleared spaces
All services are carried out in a professional and respectful manner, ensuring minimal disruption to your property.
Items Excluded
Our clearance services do not include the removal of:
- Hazardous materials such as asbestos, chemicals, or radioactive substances
- Perishable food items
- Valuable items like jewelry, artwork, or important documents
- Living plants and pets
Customers are responsible for removing or securing these items prior to our service.
Liability and Insurance
Liability
House Clearance Grays strives to handle all items with care. However, we are not liable for any damages to items that were not declared as fragile or valuable at the time of booking.
- Declared Items: Inform us in advance about any fragile or valuable items to ensure appropriate handling.
- Damages: Any damages resulting from negligence or willful misconduct by our staff will be compensated.
Insurance Coverage
We carry comprehensive insurance to cover potential damages during the clearance process. This includes:
- Property damage
- Accidental injury
- Loss of items
For claims, customers must notify us within 7 days of the incident.
Customer Responsibilities
Access to Property
Customers must provide clear access to all areas requiring clearance. This includes:
- Unobstructed pathways to and within the property
- Keys, gate codes, or other necessary access information
- Identification papers if needed
Failure to provide adequate access may result in rescheduling or additional charges.
Information Disclosure
Customers must disclose any relevant information prior to the service, including:
- Presence of hazards or sensitive areas
- Special instructions for item handling
- Any legal restrictions on item disposal
Providing accurate information ensures a smooth and efficient clearance process.
Dispute Resolution

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which House Clearance Grays operates.
Arbitration Procedures
